Offered is an early type Antique AGM Kamkook stove from an estate I did a bit of research on this old stove and found some discussions on classiccampstoves dot com and I found that this is a very early “peg leg” type stove with early type burners and grates and the brass tag has “patent pending” and also the lack of the phrase “The Ideal Camp Stove”. So from reading I suspect it to date from the 1918 to 1921 era It measures approx. 14 1/2 by 8 1/4 by 3 1/2″ tall The stove appears to be all there except for the rods or pegs that used as legs I think some iron rods can be cut and bent with a bit of effort to replace them it is also missing one bent tin “socket holder” in one corner that holds a peg leg The stove’s tin is full of ripples, dings and small dents and there is surface rust however the metal all feels quite solid The tank looks solid, complete and it’s knob turns smoothly, I can hear some grit rattling inside so it needs cleaning The air pump also looks complete but it will need to be serviced and oiled and the hose is a bit stiff I suspect it is a worthwhile candidate for a “stovie restoration as it is a scarce early type or it may be a good parts unit of you have one that is missing parts or pieces hopefully someone can put it to good use! ………………………………. Please ask for a calculation of the cost. I’ll be glad to answer them!
