Original 1940 Antique Coleman Model 500 Speedmaster Single Burner Camp Stove. This is a fantastic specimen of Coleman’s incredible Model 500 Speedmaster stove. These stoves are very sought after and becoming very, very RARE. This stove is rare even in that category, as it is marked A-40 – the first of Coleman’s production rounds for this highly collectible model! US Version Date-Stamped A-40 — meaning 1st quarter of 1940 – collectors know this means that this stove was the first of Coleman’s 500 models to be manufactured! Nickel-Plated Brass Fount (post-war version were steel due to brass demands). Nice clean, straight vintage condition on this stove which is marked A-40, no big dents or bangs, nickel plating is a little scuffed in few minor areas. Overall it shows very little sign of usage – this fantastic specimen is going to be the prize possession to one lucky Coleman collector! The unit pumps well and holds pressure just as it should.
