I replaced the factory speakers in my father’s Ampex Tape/Radio system in’69/’70 to give him better fidelity when he listened to NPR every morning. They were in gentle usage for 30 years, when he gave the speakers to me when they remodeled. They have been in storage in my music room since. Our home is non-smoking. I fired them up to be sure all was well, and (dang) do they sound good! The last picture is showing how they were housed all these years. A pair of Altec-Lansing 755E full range 8 ohm drivers in excellent condition with perfect cones. These 8 speakers were manufactured in the 18th week of 1973 and both have the same manufacturing number. One driver measures 6.45 ohms and the other 6.47 ohms, a very close match. One speaker has a terminal pad that is bent slightly at an angle as seen in the next to last photo. This of course does not affect its function. Any questions, please ask.
