Fiberglass rope is conformable and durable, resistant to most acids and alkalis, and won’t shrink, stretch, or unravel. Zetex® Fiberglass Ropes are made by plying together and twisting or braiding the same highly texturized premium fiberglass yarns used to weave Zetex® Fiberglass Fabrics. Zetex® Braided Fiberglass Rope is stronger, denser, smoother, and more stable than twisted rope. It is used in packing applications that require greater resistance to compression and mechanical wear. Zetex® Fiberglass Ropes can both withstand operating temperatures up to 1000°F / 540°C and peak temperatures up to 1300°F / 700°C. Any Zetex® Fiberglass Rope can be treated with our proprietary ZetexPlus® Vermiculite Coating for additional temperature and abrasion resistance. The coating works to dissipate heat across the surface of the rope so that it can withstand operating temperatures up to 1300°F / 700°C and peak temperatures up to 1500°F / 815°C.
