It was tough to come up with a title for this listing that would capture what is in it. So here goes: This is a US Navy grouping to Commander Robert Snowden Camera (If you google “US Navy Commander Robert Snowden Camera” you will find more information about him and his WW2 / Korean war era service). After the war ended he was tasked with assessing Nato effectiveness in various areas of the world (some of those papers are included in this grouping) as well as publishing a paper about “Base Development in Cold Climates”. He was stationed in Greenland while making this paper, which is included in this grouping and takes up most of it as the images accompany the paper. BUT the most interesting thing in this group is that he tried to contact Sears in order to ask if they would develop an idea that he had: an electric stove. During his time in Greenland he became disgruntled about how conventional heated stoves werent up to par for the cold climate so he came up with his own prototype, of which a basic plan is included in this grouping as well as the correspondence with Sears. The craziest aspect of it is that Sears REJECTED the idea (rejection letter included) as they were not interested or rather “could not make use of the idea”. Yet another of those colossal mistakes in the development of humanity that has been forgotten to time. Condition is seen in the pictures. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will receive. Quarter (if in the pictures) is not included, is only in the pictures for size reference.
