Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Telecaster Custom in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. 100% original save for a new carved bone nut, this Telecaster boasts the original Bigsby B5 vibrato tailpiece with a gloss Mocha finish over the alder body. The guitar has a clear, balanced acoustic quality, and the uncommon rosewood fingerboard adds additional warmth and detail. A very clear and percussive sounding humbucker design with more shimmer and top end detail than most dual coil pickups, the Wide Range humbucker pairs very well with the bridge position single coil in terms of output, and the two pickups compliment each other very well when both are engaged. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, we’ve dialed in this Telecaster with 10-46 strings, low action and spot-on intonation. The maple neck has a slender C profile carve with full-feeling shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring. 820 deep at the 1st fret and. 895 at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard is a nice dark cut of this tonewood with pearloid dot inlay and original slender frets. The frets have well-rounded crowns, showing just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3, and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. The guitar plays well up the 25 1/2 scale, and the neck is straight with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 5/8 in width, upgraded to a hand-carved piece of bone for optimal note clarity and sustain. The headstock sports the original Fender “F” tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well with gleaming chrome plating. The neck heel retains its bold black ink stamp which dates to’73. On the body, all of the electronics work as they should, with untouched solder joints and original CTS pots which date to the 24th week of’73. Equipped from the factory with a Fender-branded Bigsby B5 vibrato and corresponding Jazzmaster-style bridge, this Telecaster offers expressive warbles and flutters, jumping back to the original pitch reliably. Plastics include the original quartet of witch hat knobs and the large three-ply pickguard which exhibits some pick scuffing on the treble side, extending to the Wide Range cover. The transparent Mocha gloss finish is 100% original with no touchup or overspray, exhibiting a slightly musty, smokey odor that should dissipate over time. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few small nicks where the forearm crosses the top, a faint spot of buckle rash at the treble-side waist, and just a few additional light scuffs and marks on the body as a whole. The neck retains its smooth gloss, and the profile is very clean save for one small nick of note on the treble-side shoulder at the 14th fret. The original black tolex Fender hardshell case is included. The case features black leather ends, a trio of original functional latches, stock handle, and raised Fender logo on the exterior. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS!!! You won’t find these at Walmart, that’s for sure… Up for grabs is this PAIR of Racon Electric 15 ultra high quality loudspeakers. These are 1940 or before , and as you might know, look like similar Western Electric, Jensen, and RCA units of that period…. it’s a very bastardized industry as far as hardware at that time.. Racon Electric was somehow associated with (Western Electric) those companies, so if one of you guys can enlighten me with more info,,, I’d add it and appreciate the info. This pair was COMPLETELY re-fabricated at PMR in Ohio with all new. / OEM/ AMERICAN made components. Anyhow, they were completely stripped down to the metal.. If it wasn’t iron, it was removed.. EVERYTHING has been replaced from the voice coils, out to the front mounting gaskets, so they are basically new units again, only BETTER! The magnetic gaps were verified with a gauss/flux probe, and measured just fine, so they were PURPOSELY left alone. They were not de-magnetized/re-magnetized and are riding on their original charges. Some people say these old alnico units “sweeten with age”, and after hearing them- I HAVE to agree.. But ya’- new EVERYTHING, and they sound just like they looK! .. These have ultra light weight and responsive HEMPOPOTAMUS hemp fiber cones for a wide range detailed response……. These sound so damned good, your ear drums will reach around, and slap your brains out. Here’s some info. Frames- Steel Magnetic composition- alnico Hook up- spring loaded bare wire terminals Diameter- 15 1/8″ Depth- 9″ Weight- Cans- cast aluminum! That about does it for components descriptions. You guys know what this high end stuff is, and what it’ll sound like. If you need any other specs- just ask. Fellas, I hate to use all of the regular synonyms that people use to describe sound characteristics, but these are so effortless sounding, so pure, so accurate, so’crystal’, that they have a 3D presentation. Quick, high impact, even, smooth accurate, powerful, and inspirational are what I think of with these. Those 16 gram cones allow quick movement of the moving mass, so program material seems lifelike, with great resolution BOTH of these were tested under full diagnostics, and operate without any rubbing, buzzing, holes, rips, tears, rot or adhesive failures- they work just peachy. Fellas,, these are truly awesome, outstanding, tremendous LOUDspeakers… I absolutely love this set.. So, if you need a couple SAVAGE 15 loudspeakers that were in the big 4 from the 40s, then here ya’ go! ANY questions or concerns, just ask. Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Telecaster Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. The second iteration of the Telecaster Bass, first seen in 1972 and discontinued in 1979, features a Seth Lover-designed Wide Range humbucker in the neck position, dishing out particularly thick subwoofer heft. With the tonewood pairing of a solid ash body and one-piece maple neck, this classic combination yields the midrange complexity and punch of ash and the articulate note attack of maple. Simple, straightforward, and effective, this Telecaster Bass is strung with higher tension flatwound 45-105 strings, with the greater resonance and sustain afforded the string through body construction. The bass weighs 9lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with comfortable action and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a. Deep U profile carve with full shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring. 880 deep at the 1st fret and. 990 at the 12th. There’s a touch of flame figuring extending along the bass side of the profile, and the gloss is silky smooth and free of wear save for a couple small finish chips on the bass-side shoulder at the 6th fret. Riginal medium jumbo frets have their full factory height and show virtually no wear with well-rounded crowns, presumably a result of being strung with flatwounds for the majority of the instrument’s life. The bass plays easily in all registers with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is a full 34″, and the nut measures 1 5/8″ in width. On the headstock, the original chrome clover button tuning machines turn smoothly with clean plating, and the original Telecaster Bass logo is flawless on the headstock face. The Blonde gloss finish is 100% original with no touchup or overspray, highlighting the broad grain of the ash body. Cosmetic wear is limited to s. Ome minor dings and scuffs on the parameter of the slab body and some light finish scratches and shallow marks on the back as well. Overall this instrument is extremely well-kept and lightly played. The original black tolex hardshell case with raised Fender logo on the exterior is included. The case is equally as nice as the bass with exceedingly clean black tolex and leather ends, a trio of original functional latches, and the stock handle.
