Offered for sale is an unfired Coleman Model 527 Military Medical Sterilizer Stove/Burner. Also known as a “Dental” stove. These were undated, but manufactured just during World War II. This unit was likely produced late in the war and never issued for service. The manual is dated May, 1945. This burner is like other military burners of the era, but on a smaller scale. It is designed to run on gasoline with a single 2,500 BTU burner. This set is complete with all of the parts and spares. The parts are clean with no rust. The manual shows folding from being packed inside the box and some minor spotting. The original box shows some staining, but is in good condition. The burner has not been tested to preserve the unfired condition. As far as I can tell, it has never been fueled. It is not common to find a complete Model 527 set as the burner was often separated from the other parts. A complete unfired unit like this would be equally at home in either a Military or Coleman collection. Please ask any questions. This is a COLEMAN USA 1940/50s MD 523 MILITARY STOVE STERILIZER COMPLETE SET UNFIRED EXC. This stove was made for the US Medical Department for use in their military branches. Production year of this stove is between the 1940s and 50s. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! THE PHOTOS WILL SAY SO MUCH MORE THAN I CAN EVER WRITE! Please view the images carefully as they are part of the item description. I pack my lanterns very carefully. My goal is to keep a 100% positive record on sending lanterns to my customers undamaged. As some of the lanterns I sell have irreplaceable components, this is a high priority for me. My lanterns are typically packed in multiple boxes within one box. For example, the globe is always packed in its own padded box. Like with Coleman in years past, I send my lanterns partially dis-assembled. Lantern vents are individually wrapped and bail handles (where applicable) are packed in cardboard sleeves to prevent them denting the fount (fuel tank). Finally, the lantern body itself is bubble wrapped and everything is surrounded in packing foam.
