The Minuteman Rocket Stove is one of the most compact, portable and efficient rocket stoves on the market today, making it perfect as a survival, camping or expedition cook stove. As a result of its rocket stove design and internal ceramic insulation, the Minuteman Stove reaches operating temperatures in excess of 1200 degrees. Even large cast iron Dutch ovens, canners and full sized stew pots are no problem for the Minuteman. Its’ highly insulated construction allows for minimal heat loss and focuses the heat where it is needed… Due to the premium, ceramic refractory insulation that fills the space between the burn tube and the military ammo can chassis, the Minuteman can be safely used on a wood picnic table without damaging the wood. The extremely high, internal heat double burns the combustible gases and results in a smokeless flame. In a survival situation, this keeps others from detecting your location and advertising that you have food. When camping or tailgating, a smokeless fire will make you much more popular with the neighbors, and you do not go home smelling like you and your gear spent the weekend fighting a forest fire. The Minuteman requires much less fuel (small sticks, pine cones, bramble, biomass) than the larger rocket stoves and uses less than 1/10th the wood required by an open cooking fire or wood burning cook stove. The fuel is readily available in most any environment and requires no saws or splitting to process. This results in a huge time and energy savings from collecting and processing firewood and affords sustainability. Most of us live in a city or suburb and do not have access to an adequate and sustainable supply of fuel if using traditional wood burning cooking methods. The Minuteman solves this problem and is also fast to light and easy to use. Gather a handful of sticks and twigs, start your fire, and you will be cooking in less than five minutes. The Minuteman is the only self-contained rocket stove on the market. Once you are done cooking, dump out the coals, let it cool down (10 minutes), reattach the lid and the Minuteman is ready to travel. The lid has a rubber seal. No smell or soot will get inside your vehicle. It travels and stores just like a clean ammo can and weighs 14 lbs… Perfect for a vehicle survival kit or RV/car camping. The Minuteman is not your typical “consumer grade”, sheet metal stove and is designed to last many years of daily use. The Minuteman is made in America and features a heavy gauge 1/8 thick steel burn tube. It is hand welded and the most rugged insulated rocket stove available. We stand behind our products. We have never had a customer require service on one of our stoves… 0% defect rate so far. They are that tough. Order your Minuteman Rocket Stove today. Most customers receive their stoves in just a few days. The world is not getting any safer, and a Minuteman Rocket Stove will certainly make bad times much better. If you are just looking for a camping stove, The Minuteman excels in that role too and is much more fun to use than fuel stoves. You get a cooking stove and mini campfire all in one without the work of clearing a fire ring, feeding a large fire and cleaning it all up. Put your campfire right on the picnic table… How cool is that! Watch The Minuteman boil 5 pounds of potatoes in an eight quart Dutch Oven at You tube. Brand new, self-feeding (gravity feed) rocket stove with the NEW, upgraded cooking grate! I have been building rocket stoves in my East Tennessee welding and fabrication shop since 2014. In that time I have delivered over 1000 stoves, a number of which have been custom requests built to customer specifications. This rocket stove is available with or without a carry handle. See the last photo for a stove with the carry handle. Be sure to choose the option you desire in the price drop down list. PLEASE NOTE: I generally do not have any “already built” stoves on hand, they are built as orders are placed. More about the new cooking grate design. The previous version was a simple “X” style grate that was a two-piece design. While it worked well and served its’ purpose, after a few years of using mine I felt that it could be improved upon. The new cooking grate provides more surface area for smaller items like a coffee cup or even a can (or 3) of beans to rest on. The grate is cut on a CNC plasma table and is a one-piece design that measures 6″ x 6″. The pan shown in the photo (pan not included) is an 11 skillet resting on the cooking grate. A great stove for camping, hunting, off grid living, fishing, emergency and disaster preparedness. Many customers that live in hurricane prone areas own my rocket stoves. A handy item to have in the event of loss of electricity. Boil water and cook food for your family. Requires only small wood such as twigs, sticks, kindling, etc. (see photos for an example of the size wood that can be used) Once the fire is burning there is little to no smoke (depends on the wood used), see photo #9. The self-feeding design makes tending the fire a bit easier as the fuel source keeps sliding into the fire chamber as it burns. When disassembled, the stove will fit into a plastic 5 gallon bucket for storage and transport if desired. Along with your stove you can pack in a lighter and/or matches, tinder/paper/wood, some canned food/soup, beans, rice, etc. Put a lid on the bucket and you are ready to go when needed. All steel, welded construction built one at a time in my East Tennessee welding and custom fabrication shop. The body of the stove is 4″ x 4″ square steel tube. The stove is 16″ tall with a footprint of about 14″ x14 when assembled. Please note that these dimensions can vary slightly. The fuel shelf design allows for unobstructed air flow to the flame and enhances the burn efficiency of the stove. The legs are a sturdy 1/2 diameter. The cooking grate and legs all separate easily from the stove. Please note: The legs are common carriage bolts. This was done to make replacement of a lost leg easier since the bolts are readily available at most hardware or home improvement stores. The entire stove weighs about 9 lb. Version with handle weighs slightly more. The item “Rocket Stove Gravity Feed Design be ready for hurricane season camp stove” is in sale since Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
