Barr & Stroud Navigational Range Finder Type FT37 in Boxed – Restoration. This Barr & Stroud Navigational Range Finder Type F. 37 has been held in its case and displayed on a wall without cover for a number of years as a decorative piece. The rangefinder, essentially a brass tube measuring approx long, sits in a case 47.5 inches long 27.5 inches wide and 18 cm deep. As well as the rangefinder and box, the case contains a support used in the belt mounting of the range finder, a battery and leads, (that are probably beyond repair), as well as a leather pouch. There is also a copy of the Barr & Stroud Phamplet no. 948a, which is a little battered and missing the cover, but other than this I have no real idea on the condition. This is a super piece of vintage equipment that was probably made between the wars. A Real Restoration Challenge for the enthusiast.
