VINTAGE 1946 COLEMAN Model 500 “speedmaster” COOK STOVE, refurbished Works! . Date stamped A-46 (for early 1946). I took this stove completely apart, cleaned and polished each piece. I cleaned inside the fuel tank, lined the bottom with sealer to prevent any leaks. I polished the brass fount but left as much original paint as possible. I left some of the original patina on the burner, frame, and grill, but rust has been removed. I reasembled the stove, pressure tested all the fittings. I have test run the stove for over an hour. It starts easily, the flame is adjustable. It runs strong and shuts down properly.
