Offered is a Prentiss-Wabers model M1942 field stove, made for the Mountaineers in WWII. Stove and case are both dated 1945. This stove was completely disassembled, cleaned and polished, and reassembled. Pump tube gasket and NRV pip have been replaced, pump leather oiled, generators sprayed, fount flushed… The decal is an after-market replacement. I tested the stove after reassembly and it burns perfectly. Outside of one small dimple dent (see 6th photo), everything is very clean and straight. Antique Preway Cabin Stove. Antique Preway Cabin Stove – 1920’s Prentiss-Wabers Product Co.. Super nice but not mint. Repainted years ago and the cast iron grate in not broken. The red knob just spins, The white enamel knob doesn’t move, The black valve wheel moves, Gas gauge doen’t work, pump works, but the check valve is stuck closed, has a dent in the tank (photo). Was used as a decoration in a Mining camp. Museum (1970’s), From the California Eastern Sierras. Not tested, as found. Preway Cabin Stove.
