ANTIQUE RARE Griswold CLASSIC Ornate Cast Iron Nickle Plate Parlor Stove Orig GAS MINTY! We are offering a wonderful super “Rare-Scarce-Hard To Find” Ornate Parlor stove made by the Griswold Co. This stove is in ORIGINAL condition except I stripped the silver paint off the nickle pieces and I polished it up about as good as you can and all the other metal parts have all been re-painted with “High Heat” – 1200 degree Black paint. The original cast iron grate is missing about 25%of the back portion and there is about 25 of the original “fire balls” in various conditions (mostly complete – some missing chunks). Absolutely NO serious rust , The worst wear to the nickle plate is under the “Classic” name (the shell shaped portion just over the doors) and the top of the nickle kick plate under the doors. It is missing two pieces of mica in the doors and I already order NEW mica sheets and should have it after the holiday weekend and it will ALL be replaced by the time you pick it up. This was produced in the 1907 time frame and natural gas parlor stoves would have been leading edge technologies in the day still relevant for today’s modern usage. In the last five years two offered! Ours is nicer than the BIN and looks to as nice as the auctioned one and it is priced 30% less!! This stove can be delivered to Millington, Mi. We can warehouse it in Mansfield, Ohio for up to 21 days at no charge after it is paid for.
