Nickel plated finish, cast iron. This collectible 13.5″ x 12″x 6 toy cast iron stove was manufactured in the 1840’s by the American Foundries There is no history of where it was bought (perhaps NYC) but the name Crescent. It has a nickel plated finish and not painted. There are traces of light rust starting. It comes with the original lifter, skillet, sauce pot, dutch oven, coal scuttle. I did not wash any of the stove or parts. There is a working grate, four burner top, reservoir lid, ash shaker. The tin chimney sets inside a ornate nickel plated chimney with a warming shelf and two teapot shelves. The oven door does work and has a embossed design of the man in the moon face in a sliver of a moon along with a six pointed star with a embossed word Crescent. The ash and grate doors are faux. The bottom, front has beautiful detailed embossing. As well as the warming shelf and side hearth. This piece has been researched extensively. The references are: The Strong, National Museum of Play. ” The “Chicago Tribune, Aug. 21, 1994, Theriaults. Org, Kovels, Toy Stoves 1850 to 1950. This piece is very ornate and smooth to the touch and has the original flat head screws. It is very robust. It is a good size piece. I obtained this piece when my Aunt passed. She played with it in the 1930’s/40’s as it was given to her & passed down from her Mother who was born in 1898. I have no attachments to it. Offered for sale is an incredible “new” never used Coleman 530 stove. The manufacturing date stamp is B 46 for the second half of 1946. This nickel plated version was never used by the military, even though Coleman advertised is as the G. They were made in the U. Only during 1946 and 1947 (Canada made them until 1950) and marketed to the G. S returning after the war who had used the 520 military pocket stove in the service. The stove is in outstanding condition and has just been wiped clean. The pump creates pressure, but the fuel cap gasket would likely need replacement if you wanted to use the stove. There is virtually no oxidation. The parts are bright and clean with the original patina still present. The stove is complete with wrench, diffuser plate, funnel, and the original instruction booklet. The only blemish is the slight dent in the top of the can which could probably be pushed back out carefully. Please refer to all the photos for further description. Both items have nickel plated brass founts. The lantern was made in the first half of 1949, dated A/49. The stove is a bit harder to tell the date as it has a “B” denoting the second half of a year and only the number “1” on the other side which means it could be 1941 or 1951. It may have a 4 or a 5 but is stamped so faint, it cannot be seen. The nickel plating on both appliances do show their age. Both have a couple of minor dents. The stove and lantern have been completely disassembled and all parts cleaned. The burner parts on the stove have not only been cleaned, but have been painted with VHT Brand 2000 degree paint and cured as per the VHT instructions. The 500 stove, also known as the “Speedmaster” has a new fuel cap gasket. The pump leather has been oiled. The stove has been fueled. It pumps up and holds pressure and works great! The Model 500 was one of the few Coleman stoves to have a name as well as a model number. The Model 228D burner frame has also been painted with high heat paint. Upon it’s reassembly, it received a new fuel cap gasket and generator. It was fueled and it pumps up and holds pressure. When the valve wheel is opened, there is the familiar hiss and gurgle of a working lantern. The 228D retains it’s original green letter rising sun logo Pyrex globe. Two classic Coleman items that are ready to go to work or maybe add to your vintage camping display or just look nice on a display shelf. PACKING: We pack your items the same way we would want to receive them. That is, we pack to minimize any chance of breakage. Lanterns are disassembled of globe, vent and bail handle.
