The issue with this and most of these big skillets is the rock and spin it has. This will be a great addition to your collection. Check the pictures and the. Description tag in the pictures. Judge the condition for yourself. I have acquired hundreds of Cast Iron pieces over this last Summer and have been working to clean and season them. You will be able to find that special gift that you want to give that special person or yourself this cooking season. CAST IRON, all the cast iron is cleaned and seasoned unless its stated otherwise. I gauge movement by a business card. Usually less than a card of movement I consider it to be flat. However you may see that I state that it has a tap movement. That just shows that if you push down at that point it will tap the surface. Any movement more than that I will list it as how many cards it takes to level it out. I clean the cast by electrolysis and season it with a beeswax and vegetable oil mixture. Overtime I have tried several different ways of seasoning. I have recently been trying a heavier coating to get a more stick free finish. However some of the older pieces have less of a coating. All of them will get better with use and more seasoning when you cook with them. Most of the pieces will come to you in a dark Cast Iron color, some however will be a brownish color. But all will darken more with use. They will darken up over time and use to become the black color everyone associates with Cast iron Skillets. Some of the Cast Iron pieces are coming out of my collection so they will not be as cured as the others since I use a lot of them for display purposes. Heavy and massive stove measures 22″ wide (from hearth shelf to water reservoir), 22 3/4″ tall to the tip of the back-piece/pipe cover, 13 3/4″ tall to the stovetop, with the stovetop measuring 18 1/2 wide” by 11 deep…. Excellent, complete, clean, collection-ready condition…. Nickel plating and black finish are either original or the result a tasteful restoration…. One of the two tabs on the water reservoir cover is missing (11th photo) and there is a small chip of iron missing off the top of one of the feet (last photo)… All doors open and close as they should….
