Montana Vintage Arms (MVA) #108 Sharps Mid-Range Vernier Sight with Hadley Eyedisc in a Sharps 1874 Rifle Base. MVA offers the Sharps Vernier tang sight as a close reproduction of the original Sharps sight, but have incorporated into the design the ability to lock both the elevation and the windage with a simple tightening of the eye disc. They currently manufacture three different staff heights, the #107 Long Range, #108 Mid Range, and the #130 series of sporting tang sights. The Vernier scale graduations are engraved using CNC equipment and all staff assemblies are interchangeable with any of MVA’s bases. Staff height measures 4 from the pivot screw to the top of the staff. Weighs 2.4 oz. The Hadley eyedisc upgrade features an adjustable aperture, a deeper eyecup than the standard MVA eyedisc, along with a black matte finish that helps reduce glare. A rubber O-ring pressed into the outer ring of the eyecup prevents damage to the stock when folding the sight down. Nine aperture sizes, ranging from. 008 increments allow the shooter to adjust the sight for optimal sight picture for prevailing light conditions. It weighs 1.2 oz. This is a new, never-mounted #108 Mid-Range Vernier Sight. In a Sharps 1874 base. With a nonstandard MVA Hadley eyedisc upgrade. The sight is interchangeable with bases available from MVA designed to fit a wide variety of vintage, and vintage-pattern reproduction rifles.
