Research indicates this may be a model T58-2 backpacking stove which was developed in 1958. These stoves never made it out of the experimental phase into actual production, making it an extremely rare find. According to the label this backpacking stove runs on gasoline. This likely refers to “white gasoline”, also known as Coleman fuel. The outer case measures 6 inches by 3 inches by 3 inches and the stove fits snugly inside. The case and stove are made of lightweight, non-magnetic material, likely aluminum. There appears to be no makers mark stamped into the metal, but research suggests it was possibly made by Natick.
