This is a very rare and unique piece of history from the early 1900s. The Standard Electric Stove is a beautiful Edwardian style stove made of iron. Its green color and original design make it a great addition to any antique collection. This stove was manufactured by Standard Electric and has been kept in excellent cosmetic condition. Here is a beautiful Athens Stove Works model #33 three burner and oven antique stove. Most likely dates to the 1920’s or 1930’s. This stove is very very clean and lightly used. It was in the garage of my grandparents house for over 50 years. I have used it only once since I have had it. I hooked it uo to my natural gas line in my backyard which I use for my BBQ and it Works!! I assume you can also use with propane as these stoves were pretty simple and certainly not complicated appliances. Three stove tiop burners have original handle knobs (Bakelite I think). I have given this a very light cleaning. It could use a deeper cleaning and a oil based rub of some sort to prevent rusting. The oven door says “Vesta” not sure if that is a model or what it refers to, but top burners are marked Athens Stove Works, Athens TN, see pictures. Back side of stove has an outlet for a chimney if you are using this indoors, but my grandparents never vented it, nor did I. The only thing I see that it is missing is the oven rack. Perfect for a garage kitchen when large gatherings are expected or would work perfectly when camping or for a cabin that is off grid. I have also used USHIP. Com, and they are great for long distance deliveries. Stove measures 25.5″ wide x 14″ deep x 31 high.

These bronze bookends, represent a copy of the Whaleman’s Statue in New Bedford, Massachusetts that was erected in 1913. The bookends were produced by the Jennings Brothers Foundry in Bridgeport Ct. That originally opened in 1890 and operated until the 1950’s. These bookends are likely over 100 years old (with proper patina) and I know this because they belonged to my grandmother and sat on her “library” table in her home all my life. Over 80 years ago. I acquired them from her and they are in excellent condition with no damage. HOWEVER, these copies had none of the detail of the originals and are a poor substitute for the originals.
