This stove is in good condition except for some paint loss around bottom. It seems to be complete and builds up pressure when pumped up. It is marked U.

Best for: Ounce-counting adventurers bound for long trips (5+ days) in a variety of conditions and topography, including high, cold places. Also best for people concerned about the monetary and environmental costs of using canister stoves. The stove is stored in a 2 pc. Aluminum container that also functions as a small and large cooking pot. More than likely because of the age, seals and gaskets will need to be replaced. Sometimes these stoves have been known to leak at first and then as the seals soak in more liquid, they will ” seat-up” better. This can be looked up on Youtube.

The stove has been removed from its box perhaps a half dozen times over the years. Also known as a squad stove. Used as an outdoor field cooking unit. Uses leaded gasoline or white fuel. Designed to consume 4 ounces of fuel per hour. 5500 BTUs per hour. Weight of stove is 2.5-pounds. SMP made these stoves from 1979 to 1991. The company is now defunct. Cannot guarantee that it works because it is, in fact, 40 years old & gaskets do age. It has never had fuel in it & no attempt has been made to fire it up.
