You also get a thermostat to control the water temperature in the furnace, automatically – along with a 75 CFM induction blower fan, in the back, to feed air to the bottom of the fire, like a blacksmith’s forge. The automatic damper is a simple solenoid activated damper; that opens and closes the door on the side of the fan, so instead of it being a manual adjustment, it will open and close that door 100%, which will stop the air from drafting into the firebox when the fan turns off. According to our customers, this saves a tremendous amount of wood and gives you better temperature control in the furnace. There aren’t any circuit boards to fail or fancy electronics to give any problem! No proprietary parts; you DON’T have to come to us to get any replacement part. Our boilers are so strong that we can hang and move them from the chimney because it is 1/4″ thick steel welded into our super strong ROUND 3/8″ THICK firebox. The chimney drops down into the firebox trapping the heat in the firebox to heat the water and not the outside air – but more importantly, it traps the gases from the wood in the huge secondary burn chamber that we created in the top of the firebox. As soon as there is a flame, all of the gases bet burnt, extracting that much more energy from your wood that would otherwise be wasted!
