SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS!!! You won’t find these at Walmart, that’s for sure… Up for grabs is this PAIR of Racon Electric 15 ultra high quality loudspeakers. These are 1940 or before , and as you might know, look like similar Western Electric, Jensen, and RCA units of that period…. it’s a very bastardized industry as far as hardware at that time.. Racon Electric was somehow associated with (Western Electric) those companies, so if one of you guys can enlighten me with more info,,, I’d add it and appreciate the info. This pair was COMPLETELY re-fabricated at PMR in Ohio with all new. / OEM/ AMERICAN made components. Anyhow, they were completely stripped down to the metal.. If it wasn’t iron, it was removed.. EVERYTHING has been replaced from the voice coils, out to the front mounting gaskets, so they are basically new units again, only BETTER! The magnetic gaps were verified with a gauss/flux probe, and measured just fine, so they were PURPOSELY left alone. They were not de-magnetized/re-magnetized and are riding on their original charges. Some people say these old alnico units “sweeten with age”, and after hearing them- I HAVE to agree.. But ya’- new EVERYTHING, and they sound just like they looK! .. These have ultra light weight and responsive HEMPOPOTAMUS hemp fiber cones for a wide range detailed response……. These sound so damned good, your ear drums will reach around, and slap your brains out. Here’s some info. That about does it for components descriptions. You guys know what this high end stuff is, and what it’ll sound like. If you need any other specs- just ask. Fellas, I hate to use all of the regular synonyms that people use to describe sound characteristics, but these are so effortless sounding, so pure, so accurate, so’crystal’, that they have a 3D presentation. Quick, high impact, even, smooth accurate, powerful, and inspirational are what I think of with these. Those 16 gram cones allow quick movement of the moving mass, so program material seems lifelike, with great resolution BOTH of these were tested under full diagnostics, and operate without any rubbing, buzzing, holes, rips, tears, rot or adhesive failures- they work just peachy. Fellas,, these are truly awesome, outstanding, tremendous LOUDspeakers… I absolutely love this set.. This listing is for a single JBL model D208, 8 full-range driver/speaker/loudspeaker unit, as found in some versions of Hartsfield and other models. It has a cast aluminum frame, alnico magnet, and un-doped paper-edged cone bearing the numbers: 208-310, and 5.5 as shown. It appears to be an earlier version due to the style of the frame spokes which do not have the flat section where they meet the frame at the magnet end. Each center rib continues for the entire length of each individual spoke. Further, the terminals are mounted on a small piece of phenolic, and the label is a decal on the side of the magnet cover. It does not appear to have ever had the later-style oval rear magnet badge. The cone surround has at least one very minute split/flex line as indicated by arrow in the photos. At rest, it is very closed and difficult to see, but with a small amount of downward pressure evenly applied, it widens slightly. As this is a +/-60-year-old electronic device, no guarantee is being made as to its operating condition or specifications. It should be presumed that it could be in need of restorative or repair work to perform as intended. JENSEN PM10H ELECTRO-DYNAMIC EXTREMELY RARE MATCHED PAIR OF 10 FULL RANGE SPEAKERS 8 ohm, Here’s a bit of a rich boy’s toy. These are a beautiful matched pair of extremely rare Huge ALNICO Magnet Jensen PM10H speakers with all the same lettering on both. They’re tight and clear when tapped on and in good working condition. The cones are smooth like most of the good HiFi Full Range speakers from Jensen. They have a couple of pin holes that won’t effect performance. And one of the bakelite Magnet covers has a crack and repair to it.
