This beautiful set was removed from a home that only had one owner (built in the late 1950’s). This woman obviously took great care of her belongings as this oven and cooktop are in great condition, considering they were probably used everyday! The contractor who removed these said everything worked, including the light inside the oven. I cannot attest to this, but because of the great condition, I would assume everything works. The beauty of mid-century appliances, there are no electronics/circuit boards/etc. Everything is basic electrical wiring. The gorgeous pink oven door has one chip in the porcelain, just under the left side on the handle no idea how that would have happened? , so it’s not very noticeable. The inside of the oven does have some baked on gunk, but with a little Easy Off it should clean up quickly. And there is the original boiler pan! The cook top looks almost as good, but there are a few chips near the burner in the front (photo). The small burner also looks like it was used the most, evident by the wear. The stainless mounting ring is in great shape, and I have the mounting clips and screws. I also have listed a pink cast iron double sink from the same kitchen. This is located in West Michigan, about 190 miles from Detroit or Chicago. Please don’t hesitate to ask! This is a Vintage 1982 Meridian Wood Burning Stove. These were produced in the US between 1977 and 1983 with a very limited run and are hard to find. It is a beautiful stove in excellent condition. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. You’ll like the looks of the new Meridian ceramic tile stove, a colorful new household burner from California that’s made almost entirely from heat-radiating ceramic materials. Colorful tiles cover the outside of the spherical wood burner. “It adds to room decor, rather than detracting from it, ” says John Emery, marketing director for the Ceramic Energy Corp. The ceramic tiles are also functional, however, in that they keep the outside temperature of the stove low enough so that children can’t get burned. Also, the stove can be placed within 9 1/2 in. Of walls, closer than any other stove on the market. The outside walls of the stove are normally a moderate 140 degrees and never more than 212. In addition to tiles on the outside, the entire base structure of the stove is made from ceramics, including the spherical firebox. Emery says the advantage of ceramics is that it holds about 80% more heat than metal. “At night, when the fire burns down, the ceramics will continue to give off heat for hours, ” he points out. There is a secondary heat exchanger chamber between the outer and inner wall of the stove, and a 2-in. Gap between the 8-in. Diameter flue and the 10-in. Flue cover over it. A small blower at the base of the stove pulls warmer, stagnant air down from near the ceiling and through the heat exchanger chamber, warming it and blowing it out the bottom of the stove. The Vycor glass in the main firebox doesn’t soot up, according to Emery, because of the high temperatures inside the firebox. Water heating coils can be installed in the walls of the stoves, which are entirely handmade. Ceramic Energy says their stove has undergone tests at Underwriters’ Laboratories and received the UL stamp of approval. The stove, 44 in. High and 32 in. Wide, weighs 500 lbs. Vintage 1930 Glenwood Gas Stove, restored and modernized, gray and white. Condition is “Used, vintage”. The stove has been palletized and fully crated. Removed from service in working condition. The stove was recently converted from LP to natural gas, but could be easily converted back by purchasing new gas nozzles, which look pretty standard. This stove was professionally refurbished and brought to more modern safety standards in `2000 by Good Time Stove in MA. The RobertShaw oven regulator was getting sticky, but the mechanic at the stove restoration co said they are repairable and just need cleaning usually. I’ve loved cooking on this stove, and my new high-end stove will never match the quality of the cast iron burners and additional simmer burner that this stove has, but alas it was time for a modern oven. For anyone with another oven option, this is a beauty, Dimensions are 46″ wide x 25″ deep. It can be picked by by a shipper with a lift gate.
