Antique Sad Iron Heater Gardner Mass. The wick adjusting wheel turns and wick raises and lowers. The fuel cap is stuck and I was not able to turn it, rather than mess it up I will let the collector free it up or leave it as they choose. I have checked all over the internet and have not found a Sad Stove with the type of wick turner shaped like this one. This stove is not marked on the front but believed to be Union.
Here is a beautiful Athens Stove Works model #33 three burner and oven antique stove. Most likely dates to the 1920’s or 1930’s. This stove is very very clean and lightly used. It was in the garage of my grandparents house for over 50 years. I have used it only once since I have had it. I hooked it uo to my natural gas line in my backyard which I use for my BBQ and it Works!! I assume you can also use with propane as these stoves were pretty simple and certainly not complicated appliances. Three stove tiop burners have original handle knobs (Bakelite I think). I have given this a very light cleaning. It could use a deeper cleaning and a oil based rub of some sort to prevent rusting. The oven door says “Vesta” not sure if that is a model or what it refers to, but top burners are marked Athens Stove Works, Athens TN, see pictures. Back side of stove has an outlet for a chimney if you are using this indoors, but my grandparents never vented it, nor did I. The only thing I see that it is missing is the oven rack. Perfect for a garage kitchen when large gatherings are expected or would work perfectly when camping or for a cabin that is off grid. I have also used USHIP. Com, and they are great for long distance deliveries. Stove measures 25.5″ wide x 14″ deep x 31 high.
Antique DETROIT ELECTRO CHEF porcelain Enamel Electric Cook Stove & Oven RETRO! Antique Electro Chef made in Detroit. This was a modern stove made in 1930’s Beautifully designed and far ahead of it’s time with its retro look. It is unknown if it works. Great for decor or prop. This is a rare Art Deco find and is in good used condition for being 90 years old! The oven door closes nicely. These are hard to find!
