Union single burner SAD iron oil heater. Very good/excellent condition as seen in photos Upper area shows surface rust but not rotted away. The heater has not been cleaned. It has a nice patina similar to seasoned cast iron. There is still a light oily residue on the exterior. 9 1/4″ tall x 7″ wide x 5 front to back at Its widest point including handle. These bronze bookends, represent a copy of the Whaleman’s Statue in New Bedford, Massachusetts that was erected in 1913. The bookends were produced by the Jennings Brothers Foundry in Bridgeport Ct. That originally opened in 1890 and operated until the 1950’s. These bookends are likely over 100 years old (with proper patina) and I know this because they belonged to my grandmother and sat on her “library” table in her home all my life. Over 80 years ago. I acquired them from her and they are in excellent condition with no damage. HOWEVER, these copies had none of the detail of the originals and are a poor substitute for the originals. This offering is for an antique 19th century circa 1880 Man’s Silk Top Hat. The hat was made by Dunlop & Co. The hat size measures app. 21.5 in inside circumference making it a hat size of about a 6 3/4. The brim measures between 1.5″ and 2″ wide and the height to the crown is app. 6 The condition is outstanding with very very minor wear to the surface and having no dents, no rips, no tears and no repairs. There are a couple of very minor rubs in the silk but nothing serious. The only notable flaw is that the strip that covered the ends of the leather sweat band is gone as seen in our photo’s. The sweat band is still very firmly attached and the wearing of the hat is not effected in any way. The hat is clean and odor free, ready to be worn right out of the box.
