Nickel plated finish, cast iron. This collectible 13.5″ x 12″x 6 toy cast iron stove was manufactured in the 1840’s by the American Foundries There is no history of where it was bought (perhaps NYC) but the name Crescent. It has a nickel plated finish and not painted. There are traces of light rust starting. It comes with the original lifter, skillet, sauce pot, dutch oven, coal scuttle. I did not wash any of the stove or parts. There is a working grate, four burner top, reservoir lid, ash shaker. The tin chimney sets inside a ornate nickel plated chimney with a warming shelf and two teapot shelves. The oven door does work and has a embossed design of the man in the moon face in a sliver of a moon along with a six pointed star with a embossed word Crescent. The ash and grate doors are faux. The bottom, front has beautiful detailed embossing. As well as the warming shelf and side hearth. This piece has been researched extensively. This piece is very ornate and smooth to the touch and has the original flat head screws. It is very robust. It is a good size piece. I obtained this piece when my Aunt passed.
