Hempopotamus products have expanded into the hi-fi realm with a couple new 8 models… This particular model is a great example of how good a 200 dollar pair of speakers can actually sound.. Utilizing a centrally mounted/time aligned dome tweeter inside of the motor assembly, there is absolutely NO time lag from mis-aligned/incorrect distance relationship of the woofer and tweeter as compared to the listener. Frequencies from the woofer and tweeter arrive at the listeners ears at exactly the same time, and that critical 300-3,000 Hz human voice range becomes smooth and seamless.. Specially tooled components in the magnetic structure can accommodate all components aside from the woofer, so it looks as if there is only a single driver reproducing the entire spectrum. A large open weave/acoustically transparent dust cap allows just the right amount of high end to propagate from the woofers center. Stereo imaging is greatly enhanced and enlarged, due to the high dispersion angles provided by this design. All components are of the highest quality. Just a single loudspeaker weighs almost 5 pounds! The woofer has a rather large ferrite magnetic assembly, which drives a large diameter 2 voice coil with an ALUMINUM former. This is radially vented and CCAW wire wound. With a respectable 92dB sensitivity, she can dig down to 25 Hz and features a real rubber half roll high compliance surround. This dampens any remaining cone edge resonance issues. Cone composition is a hard, re-pressed hemp fiber, which has an unbeatable natural presentation… Bass becomes accurate, smooth, meaty, and 3 dimensional. Mid-bass is CRITICAL not to sound muddy, and it now fabricates a sound stage that’s amazing, and that rolls right up into the high end, which is handed off to the centrally time aligned tweeter.. And- speaking of, the tweeter , this unit is a high power low resonance NEODYMIUM unit, so that it’s compact, yet potent….. With the minimalist approach in the crossover, to keep anything out of the signal, the tweeter HAS to be durable. A simple 6dB/ octave network is all that is needed to crossover the tweeters frequencies. The XO point is several times above the Fs of the tweeters moving mass, so there isn’t any harsh ringing or break up. The nice thing is that even after hours of talk radio, you won’t get “listener’s fatigue”…. Fellas’, for a speaker under the 100 mark(each), she’s quite a show-off. GREAT for automotive, in ceiling, ad in wall installs, where you don’t want to be concerned about an enclosure…. Impedance is switchable: 4 Ohms or 16 Ohms. The JF50S is engineered for exceptional performance in the nearfield from a compact enclosure. Left and right side drivers are magnetically shielded for use on either side of video monitors. Very effective as a fill/delay element in larger overall systems or for foreground/background music reproduction. A & E SPECIFICATIONS. The two-way full range loudspeaker systems shall incorporate 2x 5.25-in LF transducers and a 1-in soft dome tweeter HF transducer. All drivers shall be magnetically shielded allowing the system to be used in immediate proximity to video monitors. The LF drivers shall be mounted in a vented enclosure tuned for optimum low frequency response. An internal passive filter network shall provide fourth order acoustical crossover and system equalization. Never keep the tent stored away wet for longer than two days otherwise fungus can affect the canvas which will then create permanent marks. The canvas has been impregnated with an anti-fungal waterproofing agent that is effective for up to 60 weeks of use (so a year). Once you have passed this period of camping you may need to re-proof certain areas that appear more translucent. Maintenance starts when setting up your Bell Tent. If a Bell Tent has not been set up correctly uneven forces will pull on the canvas. This could eventually lead to damage. To ensure your tent stays set up correctly daily guy rope maintenance is necessary. It is in your interest to keep the canvas as clean as possible and remove stains when created. Dust and dried mud is best removed once the canvas is dry by brushing with a clean hard brush like a floor scrubbing brush. The lifespan of your tent is very dependent upon camping conditions such as air pollution, ultraviolet radiation, natural dirt (bird droppings, sand, salt water) and domestic dirt (cooking stains, soda, wine, sun cream). Fungus and stains Due to insufficient ventilation, fungus can affect the canvas. It is important to store your tent dry so no fungus or other stains can appear. Only use specialized tent cleaning products to remove difficult stains as other chemical products can cause the cotton to leak. We suggest you have your tent re-impregnated with waterproofer if any area has been cleaned using a cleaning product. Leaking Cotton can, when new, let some air through and leak around the seams. After the canvas has been wet once this will no longer happen because of the cotton expanding. Very light stains can appear on a wet tent – these stains cause no problems. In order to preserve your tents water resistance and prolong its lifespan after a considerable amount of use, the outside of the canvas can be re-treated with a sealant. There are many good spray can sealants on the market, and we also sell re-proofer. Zippers :Zippers sometimes have to endure extreme tension caused by wind, incorrect tent set up or pressure caused by people or objects leaning into the tent.
